Frequently Asked Questions
We firmly believe that we work for the individual. Parents/guardians usually contact us, however, the person represented by the advocate (usually the child) is required to be part of the process. We meet with each child or adult to make sure we understand their needs and goals.
While all staff and volunteers have impressive resumes, the crucial work and mission of AdvocacyNJ is seeing each person as an individual. We are committed to finding answers when no one else can. We believe when people can, they do. That simple philosophy influences every part of our work. Advocacy is only successful when all areas in a child’s life is addressed.
Our staff resumes are available on the website for review. We value experience, knowledge, and training in all aspects of an individual, which is reflected in our advocates.
